Updated rankings will be posted the Thursday after tournaments are completed.

The team rankings are based on USAV tournament placement (only USAV) that each team competes in during the indoor season. The point value received for each team has multiple factors incorporated into the final rank. See ranking guidelines for process.

• Type of tournament played – USAV Nationals, Qualifier, Convention Center event, Regional one day event. All convention center events under one name are counted as one event even if played over multiple weekends.
• Level played – Open, Nat, USA, Liberty, American, Freedom, Patriot, Club. In region A, B, C.
• Age level played – At or above age designation.
• Number of USAV tournaments played – Those teams playing less than the average number of tournaments of all the teams in that age division receive an adjustment factor. This is to prevent false positive results from a team that only plays one USAV tournament during the season.

This reason we take these factors into account is to help rank all teams in the region as equally as possible, many of whom do not play any convention center events.

Club Challenge
The Club Challenge is designed to promote USAV participation at the regional and national level and encourage grass roots development in underrepresented age divisions. The Club Challenge results are based on the final region rankings of the top two teams from each age division from each club. The club challenge is broken down into three divisions, small, medium and large clubs. (Small 1-5 teams, Med 6-14 teams, Large 15+ teams). Club Team Counts are based on the number of teams listed in each age division. To be considered for the Club Challenge a club must play in at least 3 Seperate NERVA Events.

For example;

• Club A sends 3 Teams (Team A, Team B, Team C) to 1 event (Boston) – DOES NOT Qualify
• Club A sends 1 Team (Team A) to 3 events (Winterfest, Boston, RI Rumble) – DOES Qualify
• Club A sends 3 Teams to 3 events (Team A – Winterfest; Team B – Boston; Team C – RI Rumble) – DOES Qualify

The Club Challenge is only based on team finishes and are not used to see which club is run better or better to play for. Please see NERVA’s Gold Seal club page (coming soon) for those clubs that meet or exceed region standards for a USAV Juniors youth program. Points are awarded to the top two teams in a club based on the total number of teams in that age division. See ranking guidelines for process.

• Clubs with more than two teams in an age division do not have those extra teams factored in.
• Bonus points will be awarded to teams in underrepresented age divisions (Boys 13 and under, Girls 12 Triple Ball and under).
